About A Border Terrier

The borders of Northumberland and Scotland gave the breed its name around 1880 after he was used as the earth dog with the Border Foxhounds. He had also earned the local names of the Reedwater Terrier and the Coquetdale Terrier.
The Border Terrier is a working terrier, hugely popular in the country for his gameness, but adapting also to family life in the town and city.

Care Of A Border Terrier

Regular grooming is required to keep them in top condition, with groomer visits every 6-8 weeks recommended, as they have a medium length shedding coat.

Under the age of 18 months while their bones are still forming, minimal exercise is advised between 10-20 minutes’ walk twice daily, once in adulthood 1 hour+ per day is advisable.
